Candle Safety
We want you to love every moment of your Dreamwax Candle, however the use of candles requires caution, so please follow the below guidelines for a safe burn, every time.
Candle Safety Instructions
1. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
2. Never use water to extinguish a candle.
3. Ensure wicks are upright and trimmed to 5mm during use and each time candle is relit.
4. Do not burn a 350g candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Stop burning when 10mm of un-melted wax remains in the bottom of the glass of your candle.

- Do not use if glass is cracked, chipped or broken.
- If candle has multiple wicks, they must both be lit every time the candle is used.
- Avoid putting liquids or foreign objects into the candle, and ensure it stays clear of wick trimmings, matches, and flammable materials
- If the glass becomes blackened while burning, extinguish candle, allow to cool and clean with a dry paper towel. Trim wicks if needed.

- Use a candle snuffer to properly extinguish a candle flame.
FAQs
How long will a candle burn for?
A 350g candle will burn for up to 55 hours with proper care.
Do I need to trim the wicks?
Yes. You will need to trim the wicks before each use, this will produce smaller flames and an even burn.
Why is there black residue around the rim of my candle jar?
Black residue (soot) may form on the glass if the wicks are too long or the candle has been burning for a long time. Ensure wicks are trimmed to 5 mm before each burn. Residue can be wiped away using a dry piece of paper towel.
Why should I stop burning a candle when 10mm of wax remains?
As the wax gets very low, the flame can get too close to the bottom of the container, which may cause the glass to heat up and crack or shatter.
