Please follow these safety burning tips and care instructions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience with Dreamwax candles:
- Trim the Wick: Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to approximately 7mm. A shorter wick helps control the flame size and prevents excessive flickering or soot buildup.
- First Burn Matters: Allow your candle to burn for at least 2-3 hours during its first use. This ensures that the wax melts evenly across the surface and prevents tunneling, which can waste the wax and reduce the overall burn time.
- Never Leave Unattended: Never leave a burning candle unattended. If you need to leave the room, make sure to extinguish the candle first.
- Place on a Heat-Resistant Surface: Always set your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials and drafts.
- Keep Away from Children and Pets: Keep candles out of reach of children and pets to avoid accidents. Make sure the candle is in a secure, elevated position.
- Avoid Over-Burning: Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Excessive burning can cause the candle to overheat, potentially damaging the container and causing safety hazards.
- Extinguish Safely: Use a snuffer or dipper to put out your candle. Avoid blowing it out, as this can cause hot wax to splatter. Ensure the wick is centered and upright after extinguishing.
- Watch for Debris: Keep the wax pool free from any debris, matches, or wick trimmings to prevent flaring and uneven burning.
- Store Candles Properly: When not in use, store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. This helps maintain their quality and prevents melting or warping.
- Discontinue Use When 10mm Of Wax Remains: Stop using your candle when there is approximately 10mm of wax left at the bottom. Burning it beyond this point can overheat the container.
- Reuse or Recycle: After your candle is fully used, consider cleaning the container and reusing it for other purposes or recycling.
